Concern Match
Which question brings you here?
Match your situation to the right next step.
Are you comparing quotes and getting a different story at every office?
Ask each office to show you the plan behind the number: what is being corrected, with which appliance, over how long, and what retention looks like after. A price without a plan is not comparable to one with it.
Does your insurance cover orthodontics, and how much?
Many dental plans include an orthodontic benefit, usually a set lifetime amount rather than a yearly one. The BP Smiles team checks your plan before treatment and tells you what it covers.
Do you need to spread the cost over time?
Interest-free in-house financing is explained at the consultation. HSA and FSA funds can be used.

Why Braces Prices Differ So Much
Two patients can walk in on the same day and receive very different prices, and both can be fair. Orthodontic treatment is priced on the work each case needs. The main factors are below, and all of them are explained at your consultation.

The Five Things That Move the Price of Braces
Case complexity. Mild crowding on an adult with a good bite is a different job from a deep overbite with crowding and a crossbite. The more the teeth and jaws need to change, the longer and more involved the plan.
The appliance. Metal braces are usually the lowest-cost fixed option. Ceramic braces cost more because the brackets cost more and take more care to place. Hidden lingual systems like Brava by BRIUS are custom-made for each tooth and sit at the top. Invisalign is priced on the number of aligners and refinements the case needs.
Treatment length. A plan that runs 10 months involves fewer visits and fewer adjustments than one that runs 24 months.
One arch or both. Some cases only need the upper or lower teeth treated.
Phase 1 versus full treatment. Children sometimes have an early, limited phase between ages 7 and 10 to guide jaw growth, and a full phase later. Each is priced on its own scope.
What Is Usually Included
At BP Smiles the first visit is free, and you receive a complete treatment plan with clear pricing at the consultation. Retainers are provided when active treatment ends. When you compare offices, ask each one to list exactly what its number includes: adjustment visits, retainers, and visits for a broken bracket or a poking wire. A quote that leaves those out cannot be compared with one that includes them.

How Orthodontic Insurance Works
Most orthodontic coverage comes through dental insurance, not medical, and it works differently from regular dental benefits. Instead of paying a percentage of each visit, most plans pay a set lifetime maximum toward orthodontic treatment, and that maximum does not renew each year. Many plans limit orthodontic benefits to children under 18 or 19; adult coverage exists but is less common. Some plans require pre-authorization before treatment starts.
BP Smiles works with most major dental insurance plans. The team verifies your benefits at the consultation and explains what the plan pays, what you pay, and what your monthly payment would be. If your plan requires pre-authorization, the treatment plan goes to the insurer for approval before treatment starts.

Paying Without Insurance, or With Limited Coverage
For the portion insurance does not cover, or for patients without orthodontic coverage, BP Smiles offers interest-free in-house financing tailored to each patient's situation, explained at the free consultation. The office accepts HSA and FSA payments, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover, as well as cash and personal checks. The billing coordinator walks through insurance and billing questions at the consultation.

Getting Your Real Price: The Free Consultation
Every case starts the same way. Dr. Boris Pinhasov examines your teeth and bite, takes a digital iTero scan instead of impressions, photographs your smile and shows you on the screen what he sees. You leave with a complete treatment plan, a timeline, and the price for your case in writing. Nothing is estimated from a phone call. Evening and Sunday appointments are available, and there is free street parking at 208-09 Union Turnpike.
