Biography
Dr. Boris Pinhasov is a board-certified orthodontist, Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and the Program Director of Orthodontics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He is among the select group of orthodontists who have achieved board certification through the ABO – a distinction held by a small percentage of practicing orthodontists nationwide.
Dr. Pinhasov earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society. He completed a General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center before pursuing his specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Maimonides Medical Center.
His commitment to professional excellence extends beyond clinical practice. Dr. Pinhasov holds fellowships from both the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). As Program Director at Maimonides, he trains the next generation of orthodontic specialists while maintaining an active clinical caseload.
At BP Smiles Orthodontics in Queens, NY, Dr. Pinhasov provides comprehensive orthodontic care for patients of all ages. His practice offers braces, Invisalign clear aligners, interceptive orthodontics for children, and adult orthodontics.
